(Blog marketing) How Online Roulette Got Its Start

By Tyler James Ellison

Roulette was first formed in France in the 18th century. At first the roulette wheel was believed to be mix between the english games which had wheels (Roly-Poly, Ace Of Hearts and E.O.) which were Italian based board games.

In the French Novel La Roulette, ou le Jour you can find the description of the game roulette in it’s current form. This novel was written by a French author named Jaques Lablee and he described a roulette wheel in the Palais Royal in Paris in 1796.

In the novel as early as it was, it included the description of house pockets. It was in 1801 that this book was published and a reference that was earlier published in 1758 which was published in regulations for New France and it banned the games dice, hoca, faro and roulette. Around 32 years later in 1843, Francois and Lous Blanc brought the single 0 style roulette wheele so that they could compete against other top casinos that were offering the traditional style of wheel that had single and double zero house pockets.

In the early 1800’s roulette was booming and spreading all across the United States and Europe quickly becoming the most famous and favorite of casino games. Oddly enough though, what became to known as the American wheel even though it originated in France. It was also around the early 1800’s the the game arrived into the United States and it quickly started becoming a second favorite.

For literally hundreds of years, the only way to play casino games was through an expensive built casino until the internet was introduced and once the internet started booming as more people started using it, Roulette along with other famous casino games were put online which caused a drastic increase in players and revenue. It was in the early 1990’s that online casinos started popping up on the web and while they weren’t very many to choose from, the few that did exist were recording skyrocketing profits.

Once companies saw the advantage of owning an online casino and while there weren’t very many out, players started seeing more and more come up as time went past and after a good time online casinos was a huge trend and today in just about any online casino you can find hundreds or thousands of players playing online roulette at once. Roulette taking to the web made gamers needs met much easier since they didn’t have to leave their home and at this time this was a huge deal because online competitive play changed the face of how Roulette was played.

Today though, online roulette is everywhere and is up there in the top rankings along with Texas Holdem as the number one ranked and most popular games on online casinos and still rakes in untold amounts of cash. Online roulette all started with the idea that people would never have to leave their homes and still be able to to play online with other players in a less strict and safer environment.

Tips For Avoiding Online Poker Scams
By Tyler James Ellison

In today’s world it seems like everywhere you turn there’s scammers trying to find their next unsuspecting victim. Well, this is no different than poker. Even online poker has it’s fair share of people waiting for someone to fall into their trap.

Poker is a huge trust game and it’s best not to trust anyone especially when playing online and escpecially when the goal of the game is to take other player’s money. I’ll share some of the most common online poker scams going around today so you can try to spot them and avoid them should they ever come your way.

There’s one scam going around called the side-bet scam in which a player hovers around different tables trying to make private deals with other players. They’ll hop from table to table and they will bet players for $100 that they’ll win and if the player loses the scammer gets $100 and in the other case if the player wins, the scammer just acts like it never occured.

While that is just an example and not every side-bet scammer bets $100, it’s common enough in games and a lot of people will fall for this especially new players. Another common scam is referred to as the all in on the first hand scam. This one is easy to avoid by using common sense. In this particular event a player would suggest to his opponent that he and his opponent both go all in the very first hand. While sometimes his opponent would usually just ignore him or argue with him, sometimes he would agree and put all his chips in and if the scammer didn’t have a great playing hand, he’d continue playing like normal. This isn’t as much as a scam as a trust issue and basic common sense can be used to avoid this.

The next one is a pretty rough one that’s been seen around a lot and a lot of money is lost by this scheme. When a scammer asks you to pay $10 in hopes of being payed back $20 the next day, you are most likely being lured into the Ponzi scheme. In this scheme, the scammer will build your trust by asking for money and will actually pay you back and continue to pay you back raising the limit on the amount he’s asking for higher and higher each time. Once he has earned your sincere trust and attention because hey.. you payed him before and he payed back, he’ll continue to pay you back right? This is not merely the case and once he has you in his grip he goes in for big money and runs.

These people are usually the friendliest posters and some times one of the biggest contributors and most active of people. In today’s world, especially in online poker it is best to think ahead and never to trust a random player offering to return you money or make a private deal with you, as this will save you a lot of money in the future and headache.

Winning The Internet Marketing Game Through Email Marketing
By David Ogden

I am always amazed at the number of people who are promoting a website with no sign up form on it. You know they are wasting their money in many ways because the traffic they are driving to their site is leaving without ever making a purchase.

We know this is true because there have been studies done in the past that show that a person needs at least 12 exposures to something before them actually buy. Some people never will buy, but if you do not have their name and -mail address for future follow up you will never know if they would have been a customer or not.

The best way to build a business on the Internet today is to work hard at building a list and then doing email marketing to it. If you equate Internet marketing to a game then you have a much better chance to win this game if email marketing is a part of your overall strategy.

This does not mean that you have to just promote splash pages either. Many successful Internet marketers today use a blog as their sole method for getting traffic.

However if you look at their website you will see that every one of those are giving away a free report or something of value in exchange for their visitors contact information.

Why are they doing this?

The answer lies in the fact that they understand email marketing is a long term form of Internet marketing success. Even people who have a large RSS feed subscriber base still want to do email marketing because they know people read email every day.

By putting your emphasis on building a large email list you are insuring your long term success because you have people you can contact, and they have given you the permission to do so. Permission email marketing is the only way to do it!

If you are not sure how to go about building an email list of your own then you need to study up on it. There are many ways you can build a large list, but the fact remains that your Internet business will continue to thrive if you can market to an email list.

In summary, do not be one of these unsuccessful Internet marketers who is driving traffic to a web page and not trying to capture follow up information. This is an expensive way to lose money and guarantee your failure as opposed to winning the Internet marketing game.
