In this informative article Im planning to demonstrate a step-by-step example of affiliate marketing online using ad and affiliate networks to have a better idea on the concept. In my example Im going to use Commission Junkie (affiliate network) and Adbrite (Ad network). Some things can vary with another networks, but when you get the concept you’ll be just fine learning easy methods to do it over and over in different networks. So lets start! First go to cj.com. Click publishers after which on Apply for a Commission Junction publisher account. Then fill the forms, click on the confirmation link within your welcome mail. Once you log in click on the Get links button which is found on the menu on the top, right bellow the emblem of CJ. Now you’ll see the categories of web sites listed. You are able to choose a category or you may press find without typing anything inside the search box, and you will see a list of all of the offers. You may see how the table is split by columns and at the top of every column you can find Advertiser, 3 month EPC (USD), 7 month EPC (USD), Network Earnings, sale, lead, click, Status and category. You can click on every of these words to list the whole set of offers by whatever criteria you want. One example is you would like to see which offer pays more per sale you only click on sale. Network earnings is very important criteria so I suggest you check it for each product/service you would like to promote. If there isn’t a green inside the boxes you’ll know that this product just isn’t performing well, so if you’re a beginner you shouldnt start with it. After you choose a product, click on its link. Now you may see all the details about the program you have selected. Read carefully because here is the knowledge that can help you or get you screwed. If everything is in order and the program you selected fits your goals and desires fully you must click on apply to program. Most of the programs are set to auto-approve you, but also they are programs that require a manual approval so if thats the case you’ll have to wait a day or two. Don’t forget to check the respond often because not all the programs will notify you by mail especially if they deny your access to the program. After you are approved get back to CJ click again on get links and now choose By relationship from the drop down menu. Now you can see every one of the programs you participate in. click on the view links link (right next to the product info link) and choose a banner or a text link. When you choose the ad you like the best, click it after which click on the get html button on the bottom of the new window that have appeared. Now you can see a code box again in the bottom of the page. This is the entire banner code so in case you have a web site you will want the whole thing, if you are going to promote the product directly without a web site of your own like Im about to teach you now you only need the link. You will notice something like this on the 1st row: . You need just the link (the text included in the quotes) which can be htp://www.kqzyfj.com/click-3831394-10572178. (NOTES: you must copy and paste it without the quotes; this is an example your link could look very different, but for sure will have htp://www.site.domain/referralnumber). You need the image file for the banner as well. So go with the mouse pointer over the image, right click over it and choose save image as from the menu. We’re half way there! Time to advertise!

So many people actually offer products or services are making more money, exploiting our negligence in canceling these auto re-bills.
In no way we can generalise and assume that all marketers are involved in this shameful practice, the majority do provide great value, nevertheless this tactic is overly abused marketing tactic, for one reason only and that is to make a large extra recurring income for the product or the service owner.
Unethical marketers rely on us naive subscribers to forget about the trials we signed up for, and few months later we finally notice we have been charged a certain amount of dollars every month.
