The Basics of A Dress Up (blog search) Game

The idea of a dress up game may be a little confusing when one thinks of it in the realm of the online arcade. Things generally become very complicated when something becomes a video game. That’s why you have to take a look and understand that there really isn’t anything different in an online dress up game than its real life version. They focus on the same basic ideas. There is a focus put towards letting your imagination take flight while letting your fashion sense loose. It is almost impossible to describe the great variety of dress up games in one fell swoop. It is only possible for me to talk about each type as I come to it.

I guess I’ll start with the logical starting point. Young girls can have a little fun playing a game of online dress up that works as a counterpart to playing with their dolls. They can get a little baby boy or girl that they can dress up in a number of nice outfits. There really isn’t a whole lot to say after that point. It is simple enough for girls of any age to play such a game. They just have to pick an outfit out of the inventory screen and then drag said outfit over to the baby. The clothes will pop on and they can move on to the next piece of clothing. These games can be done in a serious fashion sense or in a silly way. Girls can try out little sun dresses on their baby girls or they can dress up a baby in yellow sunglasses and a leather jacket. They truly have complete freedom.

There are some other options for the girls who have a true fashion gene dominating their thoughts. They can play slightly more advanced dress up games that let them take a more serious approach to more complicated fashion. Since 10-year-olds aren’t often allowed at the shows in Milan, this is probably the best option for a fashion fantasy. These games will feature dresses that are straight off the runway and shoes that cost more than the computer. They will also have a full inventory of these high fashion options so that they may drag and drop to their heart’s content. These higher level games will even let them print out their designs to hang up on the fridge as a reminder of their creativity.

Everything else pretty much falls between the two extremes. There are several dress up games that are far less serious. These tend to be more specialized towards one set genre. These will include the games that let you dress up your favorite celebrity or games that focus more on a target. These end up leaning toward the puzzle genre with the player needing to understand a subtle clue and figure out what they should dress the figure in. It’s a neat little variant that gives a little more guidance to children who want a goal in want.

These should effectively cover just about everything that remotely falls under the realm of online dress up games. You should be ready for the plethora of arcade variants on this old classic.

Squeeze Pages, One For Each Niche?
By Matt Bacak

How do I get prospects to my website? This is a general question. There are multiple different methods you can use. One example is to run a pay-per-click campaign and Google AdWords. You can also do joint ventures. You can also write articles to drive traffic to your website. I recommend getting a pay-per-click campaign up and going as soon as possible because that method is one of the fastest ways to get traffic to your site.

You also might want to create a squeeze page for people to opt-in to your list before people land on your website. This information capture enables you to continuously market to them. If you already have a list then email to your list so you can drive traffic to your site.

Another option is to run an Adbrite ad campaign. AdBrite is an alternative to Google AdWords and Google AdSense. This enables you to drive traffic to your site while earning money from the traffic.

I have a question about branding sites and squeeze pages. If you have a branding site that serves five different niches, would you have five different squeeze pages? Why or why not?

Answer: I don’t base any of my business off branding sites. The purpose of a branding site is to give people more information about you after you have already captured their personal information on the squeeze page. A branding site can also be used if you meet somebody on a plane that wanted to know more about you and/or ask you to speak at a seminar, etc. I don’t focus on my branding site and it has nothing to do with my business strategy.

The reason you don’t want to spend time on your branding site is because if you drove all your traffic to your branding site, you would have no idea who visited your site. Plus, you can’t communicate with these people after they land on your branding site because you don’t who they are.

On the other hand, if you drove all your traffic to your squeeze page then you can get the visitor’s information and build your list. Since you have their information you can continue to communicate with your squeeze page visitors.

I would have a unique squeeze page for each niche. Whenever I get into a new niche, I create a new squeeze page.

I understand that Google is doing away with AdSense. Why is Google getting rid of it? What product will Google replace Adsense with?

Answer: I’m not sure. I don’t know the reasons.

Try using AdBrite instead of Google AdSense.
